Historian to discuss plague

Historian Kristy Wilson Bowers will speak about the plague and public health policy in early Seville at 3 p.m. Friday in Swen Parson Hall’s Thurgood Marshall Gallery.
This speech will relate to her new book, “Plague And Public Health In Early Modern Seville.” The discussion will focus on the impact of the plague and how officials and residents at the time worked together to start a public health response that protected everyone’s best interests.
