DeKalb is celebrating the people who help make their neighborhoods special during National Community Planning Month.

To celebrate, the city’s Planning and Development Division will host a National Community Planning Month photo contest. The People and Places in DeKalb theme for Community Planning Month will be represented with submissions of artwork of DeKalb’s favorite places and/or people. Contest photos will be divided in to six age groups. There will be two winners from each age group and the photographs will be selected and featured on the city’s website, Facebook page and displayed in City Hall. The contest continues through Nov. 15 and the entry form is available online.
