DeKalb | Another sports club that will be in action this weekend is the women’s rugby team. NIU will play Illinois State University at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Outdoor Recreation Sports Complex.

NIU (1-2) is coming off a tough loss against arguably its best opponent of the season, Lindenwood University, and it will look to get back to .500 with a win this weekend.

Women’s rugby President Dee Sanderson believes it is possible.

“If we play just as we did last weekend, I think we can get a win this coming weekend,” Sanderson said.
