Netflix gets bloody for Halloween
October 29, 2013
Netflix’s Halloween movie options bring the biggest scares to the smallest screens.
“Scream”
This classic Halloween movie is hilarious and has a range of odd characters, including a masked man and Drew Barrymore with weird blonde hair.
Even though there have been more films in the Scream series, the first one is the best. “Scream” is a Netflix must-see.
“The Faculty”
This perfectly casted film features Josh Hartnett, Usher, Elijah Wood and every other 2002 movie star. “The Faculty” is about an alien invasion that affect the students and faculty of a school, and a random group of kids save the town.
“Grave Encounters”
This movie doesn’t take place over Halloween but is still spooky. A team of ghost hunters on a TV show visit a psychiatric hospital and spend the night investigating.
“Grave Encounters” has creepy ghosts and lots of other scary things. It is one of Netflix’s scariest films.
“Child’s Play 2”
Any movie with a killer doll is perfect to watch on Halloween. I love all of these movies, but this one is just too perfect.
I love Chucky’s sarcastic remarks throughout the movie. He is the perfect bad guy.
“Goosebumps”
This show scared me as a child. I was terrified after watching the episode of the girl who gets a mask stuck to her face. I always thought that was going to happen to me, but I recently watched the show and laughed at how cheesy and creepy it is.
“Halloweentown”
My favorite Disney TV movies are on Netflix, but can only be ordered to DVD. Hopefully, they will go on instant soon.
I wish Halloweentown was a real town because I hope to see a skeleton driving a cab around DeKalb.
“Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers”
This isn’t the original movie, but it has Paul Rudd, which kind of makes up for it. I love the creepiness Michael Myers has as a killer, and his mask scares me.
The scariest and best part about this killer is he only walks to kill his victims. He never runs, which makes him way scarier.
