A student-led movement at NIU, the Save Chicago Campaign, is seeking students interested in making Chicago a better place.

One project in development for the group is NIU Cares About Chicago Day, which is similar to the annual NIU Cares Days that benefits DeKalb County. During NIU Cares Day, students volunteer across the area.

Save Chicago Campaign organizers hope to send 300 to 400 students to three of Chicago’s most troubled neighborhoods to uplift the city through volunteer efforts. For more information, email [email protected].
