Overseas travel open to students
October 13, 2013
Students have another chance to travel overseas.
Anthropology professor Mitch Irwin is planning a 2014 study abroad trip to Madagascar. Last summer, Irwin led his first trip with NIU to the country. The trip is set to start in late May.
Lodging will involve tents without electricity, plumbing or running water.
Participants will spend their days studying lemurs and will have the opportunity to work with global primate experts. Students will receive class credit for their travels through the study abroad program.
