The DeKalb Police Department is partnering with Schnucks, 975 S. Annie Glidden Road, for a child safety seat checkup event.

The event will be held 9 a.m. to noon Friday in the Schnucks parking lot. Certified child safety seat technicians, including police officers, will inspect seats and assist motorists with proper safety seat installation in their cars.

The event is free.

Child passenger safety seat technicians are available at the DeKalb Police Department to help citizens with questions about child safety seats. They are available in person and through their non-emergency number, 815-748-8400.
