Students are being asked to aid Filipino people in a time of need by means of small monetary donations.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday the Philippine Student Association and other groups will collect monetary donations at the Asian American Center to pay for rice and water to aid the displaced citizens of Zamboanga City.

The people have lost their homes due to military violence.

All donations go to Field Operations of Southeast Asia to support the city.
