Mayor John Rey (left) and master gardener Misty Haji-Sheikh introduce gardeners and DeKalb residents Saturday to the Mayor’s Garden, 200 S. Fourth St. Haji-Sheikh gave tours of the various gardens. Rey showed enthusiasm for the DeKalb community gardens. There are 40 gardens throughout DeKalb where vegetables are harvested weekly.
