DeKalb | Drake’s not making a stop at the Convocation Center come Homecoming.

The rumor that NIU would host the rapper started on Twitter, where user @horette tweeted “#NIU #NIU17 is coming to NIU” with a picture that said Drake would perform in the Convo Oct. 12. The user no longer has a profile on Twitter.

The picture showed a phone number where it said students could purchase tickets for the concert.

“Please do not call the number or click on any links associated with this as they are not associated with the Convocation Center or NIU and we are not sure where they lead,” a representative of the Convo said in a release on the facility’s website, convocenter.niu.edu.

The police have been informed of the incident, according to NIU.
