Campus Police Reports: July 1-July 7

July 1

• At 1:31 p.m., Cateece James, 23, of Chicago, turned herself in on a warrant for theft. James was released on a $575 bond.

Tuesday

• At 4:56 a.m., an officer responded to a report of defacement of property at the East Lagoon. The case was closed for lack of leads.

• At 9:51 a.m., an officer responded to a report of theft. The case was closed for lack of leads.

• At 11:18 a.m., an officer responded to a report of theft at the Chessick Practice Center construction site. The case is pending investigation.

Wednesday

• At 9:32 p.m., an officer on duty made contact with a person for a report of reckless conduct on the 900 block of Ridge Drive. The case is pending investigation.

• At 11:48 p.m., an officer on duty approached a person in regard to fireworks on the 1200 block of Rushmoore Drive. The person was given a verbal warning.

Thursday

• At 10:55 p.m., officers on duty approached a person in regard to the use of fireworks. The person was given a verbal warning.

• At 11:26 p.m., Edcedric D. Williams, 23, of Dolton, was arrested for trespassing. Williams was also given a verbal warning for providing officers false information and illegal use of fireworks. Williams was later released on $150 bond.

Friday

• At 4:05 a.m., Ciara C. Jones, 21, of DeKalb, was arrested for domestic battery on the 800 block of Greenbrier Road.

• At 11:29 a.m., Ryan S. Taylor, 26, of DeKalb, was arrested for a warrant for unlawful use of a credit card.

Saturday

• At 2:37 p.m., an officer responded to a report of theft at 1425 W. Lincoln Highway. The case was closed for lack of leads.

• At 12:40 p.m., an officer responded to a report of damage at the Music Building. The officer determined the report was false.

Sunday

• At 3:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Holmes Student Center. The person allegedly had stolen property. The case is pending investigation.

• At 6:48 p.m., Jennifer L. Dazzo, 37, of DeKalb, turned herself in on a warrant for contempt of court.
