Student Spotlight: Kim Koeller

By Brady Meier

Student Spotlight: Northern Star reporter Brady Meier spoke with Kim Koeller, senior pre-physical therapy major.

Northern Star: Why did you choose to go into pre-physical therapy?

Kim Koeller: I went into Pre-PT because my dad got into an accident, so I basically had firsthand experience.

NS: How far do you plan to pursue your degree?

KK: I applied to grad school at NIU. Hopefully I’ll get in and be able to get my doctorate degree.

NS: What is one of your favorite parts about NIU?

KK: The fact that we made it to the Orange Bowl is awesome. Go Huskies! The people here are really nice, too.

NS: What’s one accomplishment you’re proud of?

KK: I made the dean’s list this year.

NS: Do you have any plans for the next five years?

KK: Well, if I get into grad school I’ll be busy for the next three-and-a-half years getting my degree.

NS: Where is one place you want to visit before you die?

KK: I want to go back to England. I got to go once when I was three, so I don’t really remember it.
