Saturday

At 2:37 a.m., an officer on patrol of Stevenson Towers North made contact with an individual who was under 21 and intoxicated. The individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 4 a.m., an officer on patrol of the 900 block of Greenbrier Road made contact with an individual in regard to disorderly conduct. The individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.

At 4:26 a.m., an officer on patrol of the 700 block of North Annie Glidden Road made contact with two individuals who were under 21 and had consumed alcohol. The individuals were given verbal warnings for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Sunday

At 12:29 a.m., an officer on patrol of the 700 block of North Annie Glidden Road made contact with an individual in regard to cannabis. The officer determined the incident to be Unfounded.

At 2:09 a.m., an officer on patrol of the 900 block of Greenbrier Road made contact with an individual who was under 21 and in possession of alcohol. The individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

At 5:47 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Emergency Management and Planning building in regard to a report of disorderly conduct. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 9:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to New Hall West in regard to a report of cannabis. The officers met with the complainant and took a report. The officers determined that the incident was unfounded.

At 10:43 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Emergency Management and Planning building in regard to a report of criminal trespass. Lance A. Barnes, 30, was arrested for criminal trespass. Barnes was processed at the NIU Police Department and then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

Monday

At 3:30 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Neptune East in regard to a report of domestic battery. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 12:12 p.m. on April 12, an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 5:38 p.m. on April 12, an officer was dispatched to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of criminal defacement of property. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 4:19 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Barsema Hall in regard to a report of criminal damage. The officer arrived on scene and investigated. The officer determined the incident to be unfounded.

At 8 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Lot Six in regard to a report of criminal damage. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 2:29 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

Tuesday

At 3 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of unlawful use of credit card. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. While speaking to the complainant the officer determined the incident was being falsely reported. On Tuesday, an individual was given a verbal warning for filing a false police report.

At 3:21 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Tuesday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 12:02 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Call Box 2 at Barsema Hall in regard to a report of criminal defacement of property. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is Administratively Closed due to a lack of leads.
