The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

At 1:56 a.m., officers responded to a loud party report at 945 Regent Drive. Upon arrival, officers heard a female crying from inside the apartment from a possible domestic dispute. No one would answer the door. Once the door was opened, officers gained entry and spoke with the victim who advised she was in a verbal argument with her boyfriend. While speaking with the victim, officers observed cannabis on the bedroom floor. The victim’s boyfriend claimed the cannabis. Liam J. Berna, 19, was charged with possession of cannabis and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 2:15 a.m., officers responded to 1231 W. Lincoln Highway for a loud party call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a tenant who provided an Illinois driver’s license that was not her’s and then would not provide her true name or date of birth. Deana L. Jones, 20, was charged with obstructing identification and keeping a disorderly house.

At 8 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1100 W. Hillcrest Drive, Todd W. Coryell, 31, was charged with no valid driver’s license, disobeying a stop sign and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Coryell was released on bond with a court date.

At 9:26 a.m., officers responded to Cantel Communications, 1703 State St., in response to a report of criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant. He advised somebody drove through his gravel lot in such a manner as to cause ruts. Following investigation, Matthew D. Clark, 23, was charged with criminal damage to property.
