DeKalb Animal Shelter to offer low-cost vaccinations for pets

SPAY ILLINOIS will host a low-cost pet vaccination clinic on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 23 at the DeKalb Animal Shelter, 16173 Base Line Road in Genoa.
The clinic will offer vaccines for lyme disease, bordetella, rabies and leptospirosis, according to a Thursday news release from SPAY ILLINOIS. Microchipping, FIV testing for cats, distemper packages for cats and dogs, and heartworm testing will be available at a discounted price, according to the release.
Heartworm and flea/tick medication will be available at a discount as well, according to the release.
The clinic is by appointment only, and all major credit cards will be accepted.
