Gamers look forward to 2013’s gaming releases
March 19, 2013
Gamers are waiting on the edge of their seats in anticipation of this year’s hottest releases.
Every year marks a new leap in progress when it comes to gameplay and graphics on video games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. 2013 will be no different from previous years with great titles released like “BioShock Infinite,” “Grand Theft Auto V,” “Watch_Dogs” and “The Elder Scrolls Online.”
“BioShock Infinite” is a science fiction first-person shooter that will be coming out Tuesday. for $59.99 and will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360. This is the third of the BioShock games where players use magic and weapons to make it through a very detailed steampunk-esque environment.
Arguably, one of the most anticipated titles is the long-awaited “Grand Theft Auto V” by Rockstar Games for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be released Sep. 17. The Grand Theft Auto series has always been one to reach a vast audience with its open-world crime-based adventure game and this one seems to be no different.
Besides making people excited on its name alone, screen shots of the game’s graphics have shown beautiful landscapes greater than those of any “Grand Theft Auto” game that has come before. It is great to see such a popular title bring something new to the table instead of recoloring and releasing the same game.
If you paid any attention to the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) last year than you have heard about the next generation, open-world cyber-hacking adventure gaming “Watch_Dogs.” This game, developed by Ubisoft, created quite a stir with its detailed Chicago environment. Its exciting gameplay is based on hacking computers with a cellphone. Players can hack through any electronics in the game to use them to their advantage, from finding a certain target to changing a traffic light to make a speedy getaway.
Another game that created a lot of talk around E3 was the MMORPG “The Elder Scrolls Online” for the PC. “The Elder Scrolls Online” is the sequel to the massively popular “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,” but this time it’s a multiplayer online title. Gamers will have the chance to explore and fight in the beautiful world of Tamriel with the help of their friends.
