NIU’s red and black will soon have to move aside for PINK.

NIU placed second in a Victoria’s Secret’s PINK Nation contest. The top 10 highest voted universities will get PINK representatives for their campuses. NIU received more than 12,600 votes.

Students who voted are excited about the PINK reps.

“I just thought it would be fun on campus,” said freshman accounting major Jenny Murphy.

The PINK rep will be able to host various parties, give free gifts from PINK and create “pop-up” shops while promoting the PINK brand.

“It’ll be cool for NIU to have Victoria’s Secret clothes and yoga classes,” said pre-physical therapy major Olivia Caron. “I can wear my yoga pants to an actual yoga class.”

There are more than 100 PINK reps on more than 50 college campuses across the country.

George Mason University took first place and Temple University followed NIU by taking third.
