Blotter 3/6-3/12

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

March 6

At noon, a victim and a witness came to the police department to report an incident. They both advised the suspect approached the side of the vehicle and began pounding on the window. The victim did not roll down the window at which time the suspect ripped off the passenger side mirror. The suspect then got into a silver vehicle and fled the scene. Marissa A. Cathina, 25, was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle. Cathina was released on bond.

March 7

At 11:20 a.m., a complainant said a subject he knows was going to beat him up. The suspect left the scene but was later located by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Brandon R. Henryson, 38, was charged with disorderly conduct.

At 7:05 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, 2300 Sycamore Road, in response to retail theft. Following an investigation, Jody L. Gratschmayr, 41, was charged with retail theft and was released on bond.

At 4:57 p.m., officers met with the complainant at Resource Bank, 555 Bethany Road, in regard to a violation of an order of protection. Following investigation, Glenn Ouellette, 61, was charged with violating an order of protection.

At 9:54 p.m., officers responded to 819 Russell Road in an attempt to make contact with the resident, who was wanted on a warrant. Upon arrival, the suspect answered the door and allowed officers into the residence. She provided her driver’s license at which time it was confirmed with dispatch that she had the warrant. Lashawna M. McWright, 22, was charged with failure to appear—obstructing identification. McWright was released on bond.

March 8

At 11:47 a.m., Deandre D. Miller, 25, turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear—traffic. Miller was released on bond.

At 5:53 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1200 N. Peace Road, Amanda D. Paulsen, 23, was charged with driving with a revoked license and no insurance. Paulsen was released on bond with a court date.

At 7:16 p.m., officers observed the registration sticker on the suspect’s vehicle was expired. Following a traffic stop at 400 Oak St., Amy J. Shumway, 33, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis.

March 9

At 1:50 a.m., following a traffic stop at 900 N. Annie Glidden Road, John A. Nielsen, 44, was charged with two counts of DUI, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

At 5:28 p.m., Keenan L. Buckle, 22, turned himself in on an original warrant for aggravated battery and was released on bond.

At 6:50 p.m., Ryan J. Webb, 21, turned himself in on a warrant for aggravated battery and was released on bond.

Antionette L. Thomas, 28, was charged with theft, forgery and unlawful use of a credit card.

At 6:50 p.m., Justin N. Webb, 21, turned himself in on a warrant for aggravated battery and was released on bond.

March 10

At 12:29 a.m., officers responded to Lord Stanley’s, 142 E. Lincoln Highway, in reference to disorderly conduct. Following investigation, Wendy E. Salinas, 34, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.

At 1:35 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1100 W. Lincoln Highway, Kevin M. Dann, 22, was charged with two counts of DUI, improper parking on a roadway and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Dann was released on bond.

At 4:22 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1900 S. Peace Road, Jayce L. Adams, 21, was charged with driving with a suspended license. Adams was released on bond.

At 4:31 a.m., officers observed a vehicle make a left turn without using its turn signal. Following a traffic stop, Michael D. Randle, 23, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, no valid driver’s license and no signal when required.

At 8:11 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1600 N. Annie Glidden Road, Kristie C. Tarver, 38, was charged with driving with a suspended license and was released on bond.

At 11 a.m., the Police Department received a report of a domestic dispute at a Russell Road residence. Following investigation, Kurt D. Hudson, 27, was charged with assault.

At 11:47 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with expired license plates. Following a traffic stop at 1100 Lucinda Ave., Reco A. Bates, 23, was charged with driving with a suspended license, expired registration and suspended registration.

At 1:40 p.m., officers were dispatched for a reckless driver who was following another driver around a neighborhood. Following investigation, Sammy N. Nguli, 40, was charged with DUI, driving with a revoked license, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to yield to police and no front plate. The passenger, Alex J. Manguya, 30, was charged with failure to appear—driving with a suspended license. Both were released on bond.

At 9:06 p.m., following a traffic stop at 200 E. Hillcrest Drive, Emanuel P. McCarter, 25, was charged with driving with a suspended license and was released on bond.

At 9:34 p.m., officers randomly checked a registration plate using LEADS. The driver was found to have a warrant. Veronica L. Rodriguez, 37, was charged with failure to appear—driver’s license. Rodriguez was released on bond.

March 11

At 2:10 a.m., following a traffic stop at 100 N. Annie Glidden Road, Evan Chen, 20, was charged with possession of cannabis and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Chen was released on bond.

At 12:26 p.m., following a traffic stop at 400 Leonard Ave., Marcqus A. Hill, 25, was charged with driving with a suspended license.

At 2:31 p.m., following a traffic stop at 1100 Varsity Blvd., Steven J. Elmore, 20, was charged with driving with a suspended license, no valid registration, no insurance and display of false insurance card. Elmore was released on bond.

At 7:43 p.m., officers responded to 230 Augusta Avenue to serve a warrant. Christopher A. Brower, 27, was charged with failure to appear—assault. Brower was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 11:30 p.m., officers resonded to 331 1/2 S. Second St. in an attempt to serve a warrant. Torenzo L. Wilson, 28, was charged with contempt of court. Wilson was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

March 12

At 8:08 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1100 Varsity Blvd., Tenisha M. Mason, 25, was charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to secure registration, improper display of plates, no insurance and unsafe tire. Mason was released on bond.

At 6:21 p.m., Melissa A. Hart, 33, turner herself in on a warrant for failure to appear—DUI. Hart was released on bond.
