Inboden’s Meats win awards at IAMP

Inboden’s Meats, 1106 N. First St., took home several prizes at the Illinois Association of Meat Producers (IAMP) and Indiana Meat Packers and Processors Association (IMPPA).
The convention is held in association with the University of Illinois Meat science lab. Deductions were taken on flavor, texture, aroma, defects, and uniformity of color, shape and consumer appeal and uniqueness, according to a release from Inboden’s. Inboden’s took Grand Champion in Italian Sausage-Fresh Sausage, Grand Champion in Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Burger-variety class and Reserve Grand Champion in Bratwurst. Inboden’s also took home prizes in the Illinois Association of Pork Producers’ 2013 Pork Innovation Award. Inboden’s received the Grand Champion award for Herbed Pork Patty and second place for Pork Chop trio.
