Monday
On Thursday at 10:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of cannabis. The officers made contact with two individuals in the room in question. Contact resulted in the incident being unfounded. On Monday, an officer on patrol of Stevenson Towers North was advised that one of the individuals from the previous contact was banned from the property. An investigation was started by the officer. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 9:12 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. Later that day, the complainant recovered their property. This case is closed, unfounded.
At 12:44 p.m., an officer was sent to NIU Health Services in regard to a criminal sexual assault report that allegedly occurred in New Hall West. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 1:42 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
