Friday
On Nov. 4 at 1:34 a.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall East in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Friday, the case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
On Jan. 28 at 3:48 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department to take a report in regard to theft. The officer took a report. On Friday, the complainant recovered their property. This case is closed.
At 3:50 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Normal Road in regard to a report of an injured individual. The officer arrived on scene and located the complainant. The officer determined that the complainant falsely reported the incident. The complainant was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.
At 2:06 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Neptune East in regard to a report of cannabis. The officer made contact with an individual in the room in question. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of a controlled substance.
At 11:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Neptune North in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
Saturday
At 12:02 a.m., an officer on patrol of Grant Towers North made contact with an individual who was under 21 and intoxicated. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
At 12:41 a.m., an officer on patrol of New Hall West made contact with an individual who was under 21 and intoxicated. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
At 2:06 a.m., an officer on patrol of Stevenson Towers North made contact with an individual who was under 21 and in possession of alcohol. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.
At 3:13 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
