Thursday

At 3:50 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Emergency Management and Planning building in regard to a report of theft and unlawful use of a credit card. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 8:55 p.m., an officer on patrol of Stevenson Towers North made contact with an individual in regard to a report of cannabis. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 9:19 p.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall East in regard to a report of cannabis. The officer made contact with an individual in the room in question. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 9:49 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

Friday

At 4:51 a.m. on Nov. 4, an officer was dispatched to Neptune West in regard to a report of residential burglary. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Friday, an officer followed up with the victim. Due to no leads, this case was administratively closed.

At 1:30 a.m., officer responded to the second floor of Neptune Hall North in regard to the smell of cannabis. Contact with the occupant of the room resulted in the in him being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 3:52 p.m., an officer responded to the lobby of Stevenson Towers South in regard to a theft of a cellular phone. The officer met with the complainant who stated that someone stole her phone from the Stevenson Towers dining area earlier in the day. This case is pending investigation.

Saturday

At 2 p.m. on Feb. 4, an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Saturday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 3:35 a.m., an officer on patrol near the intersection of Normal Road and Edgebrook Drive heard a loud argument. The officer exited her vehicle and observed a group of females arguing in one location and a group of males fighting in another location. Many of the people ran as the officer approached. Contact resulted in one person being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.

At 4:15 a.m., officers responded to Lot 38 for a report of criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, they observed two vehicles with the rear windows broken out. The officers canvassed the area, took photos and attempted to contact the owners of the vehicles. This case is pending investigation.

At 4:50 a.m., officers on patrol responded to a call about people kicking the doors of the Late Night Ride van. Upon arrival, the officers met with the three alleged offenders. Those three were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.

At 10:55 p.m., officers responded to the Chick Evans Field House regarding the theft of a wallet. Upon arrival, the officers met with the complainant who advised that someone stole his wallet. Officers canvassed the area for clues. This case is pending further investigation.
