Hair Cuttery to host ‘Cut-a-Thon’
February 10, 2013
Hair Cuttery, 2350 Sycamore Road, will be hosting a “Cut-a-Thon” fundraiser on Feb. 24 to benefit Feed ’em Soup, 122 S. First St.
The fundraiser will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hair Cuttery and all proceeds will benefit the non-profit, according to a Sunday news release from Hair Cuttery.
“We are thrilled that we can support this project which provides meals for people right here in community,” said salon leader Robin Rodriguez in the release. “It’s an awesome way to give back.”
In addition to the Cut-A-Thon, a bake sale will be hosted with food donated by Polka Dot Bakery, 1715 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore. All proceeds from the bake sale will go to Feed ’em Soup, and Hair Cuttery will match up to $500 of the funds raised by the entire event, according to the release.
