Tuesday
At 12:53 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 800 block of North Annie Glidden Road. The driver of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. David A. Entyre, 58, was arrested and processed at the NIU Police Department. He was then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
At 9:01 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Holmes Student Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 3:24 p.m., an officer responded to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of residential burglary. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 10:25 p.m., officers on patrol of 780 Regent Drive made contact with two individuals in regard to cannabis. Contact resulted in the arrest of two Chicago residents. Emer Parra, 22, and Octavio Casanova, 21, for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were processed at the NIU Police Department and then released on $150 bond.
