The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

At 1:32 a.m., following a traffic stop at 300 E. Deerpath Lane, Oludemilade A. Osilaja, 21, was charged with driving with a suspended license. Osilaja was released on bond.

At 10:17 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1400 Elmwood Ave., Demetrius Glenn, 46, was charged with driving with a revoked license.

3:39 p.m., the complainant called the Police Department to report a male subject, later identified as Christopher Y. Lawal, 22, who took merchandise from Lundeen’s Liquors, 1099 W. Hillcrest Drive , and did not pay for it. Lawal was stopped by the complainant in the parking lot of Thirsty Liquors, 1039 W. Hillcrest Drive. Officers arrived on scene and Lawal was taken into custody. He was transported to the Police Department where he was processed for retail theft.

At 4 p.m., the complainant called and advised that his dog had been bitten by another dog. An investigation at a Cedar Court residence led to the arrest of Edward J. Bosowski, 31, and Katie L. Effers, 21, and both were charged with dog running at large.

At 9:54 p.m., officers attempted to serve a warrant to Jakkar M. McGee, 24, at a Edgebrook Drive residence for failure to register as a sex offender. Officers made contact with McGee and located a suspect with a plastic bag with cannabis inside his front right jeans pocket. McGee was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and failure to register as a sex offender.

At 11:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a DeKalb Avenue residence for a disorderly conduct where the complainant advised his or her son was out of control. Following investigation, Eddie Villarreal, 29, was charged with a warrant for failure to appear—forgery.
