The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

At 10 p.m., officers observed a vehicle stopped at a stop sign. The officers circled the block and found the vehicle was still stopped at the intersection. As the police vehicle approached, the stopped vehicle began to turn and then engaged its turn signal. The vehicle drove into a parallel parking space, then cut across both lanes of traffic and entered a private parking lot. Following a traffic stop at 200 N. Third St., Clemencia Chavez-Martinez, 26, was charged with no valid driver’s license and improper use of turn signal. Leoncio Perez-Hilario, 23, was charged with permitting an unauthorized person to drive. Both were released on bond and the vehicle was towed.

At 11:55 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling without tail lights when required. Following a traffic stop at 800 Normal Road, Jodeci S. Cooper, 20, was charged with obstructing identification and an existing warrant of possession of cannabis was found upon checking her information. Cooper was released on bond.

At 12:30 a.m., Justin A. Vandermeer, 18, turned himself in on a warrant for possession of cannabis with intent to distribute and possession of cannabis. Vandermeer was released on bond.

At 6:48 p.m., Quinessa J. Clay, 44, turned herself in on a warrant for probation violation. Clay’s warrant did not allow bond and she was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 8:16 p.m., Jessica Garcia, 29, turned herself in on a warrant for failure to appear—traffic offense. Garcia was released on bond with a new court date.

At 1:11 p.m., officers located Abraham A. Perea, 20, at 821 N. 14th St., to serve a warrant. Perea was charged with failure to appear—battery and was released on bond.

At 11:34 a.m., officers located Emilio Marquez, 20, at 210 N. Sixth St. to serve a warrant. Marquez was charged with failure to appear—driving with a suspended license and was released on bond.
