The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Wednesday
At 8:19 a.m., officers received a 911 call from a Ridge Drive residence. Upon arrival it was determined it was an accidental dial. It was discovered the one of the suspects, Timothy Lumar Sanders, 21, had a failure to appear warrant out of DuPage County. Sanders was charged with failure to appear—cannabis and failure to appear—driving with a suspended license and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 11:40 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1600 Sycamore Road, Jonathan Green, 29, was charged with driving with a revoked license.
Deante M. Colpeppor, 25, was charged with forgery.
Thursday
At 12:33 a.m., officers were dispatched for an intoxicated subject call. Upon arrival it was learned a female was battered by an ex-boyfriend. The male then left the apartment. The male, Nicholas Michael Markropoulos, 19, was located and charged with domestic battery and unlawful consumption of alcohol.
At 12:24 a.m., following a traffic stop at 100 S. First St., Javier Monalvo, 40, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, driving with a suspended license, improper lane usage, no insurance, and an original warrant for domestic battery.
At 4 p.m., a victim called and stated his son had attacked him. Officers responded to a N. 11th Street residence. Officers were informed the suspect had wanted a cigar and some Taco Bell. The victim told his son no because he had just had a cigar and had already had fast food that day. The son got upset and combative, so the victim threw the last cigar at him. The victim was then punched in the eye and fell down the back stairs. Zachary J. Taylor, 22, was charged with two counts of domestic battery. Taylor was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 11:23 p.m., officers conducted an ID check at Starbusters Bar, 930 Pappas Drive. When checking ID’s officers discovered an underage individual had used an ID that was not his to enter the bar. Jonathan R. Corrigan, 20, was charged with misrepresentation of age.
At 11:36 p.m., officers conducted an ID check at Molly’s, 1000 W. Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival it was learned the suspect, Lauren M. E. Kostrzeski, 20, provided a false ID in an attempt to gain entry into the bar. Kostrzeski was charged with misrepresenting age.
Friday
At 11:09 p.m., officers responded to a Greenbrier Road address in reference to a criminal trespass to residence. Following investigation, Austin B. Johnson, 18, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass to residence, unlawful possession of alcohol, and unlawful consumption of alcohol. Johnathan R. Giles, 23, was charged with criminal trespass to residence, obstructing identification, failure to appear—trespass, failure to appear—resisting, and failure to appear—possession of cannabis.
At 3:04 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, 2300 Sycamore Road, in reference to retail theft. Following investigation, Chekinna L. Mason, 18, and Ashley I. Vaughn, 18, were charged with retail theft and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Saturday
At 3:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling without headlights or taillights illuminated. Following a traffic stop at 1100 S. Fourth St., Jordan R. Luepkes, 19, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor, and no headlights illuminated.
At 4:15 a.m., officers responded to McDonalds, 545 E. Lincoln Highway, in reference to disorderly conduct. Following investigation, Wesley R. Letto, 20, was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor by a minor.
At 12:57 a.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling without headlights illuminated. Following a traffic stop at 1000 W. Hillcrest Drive, Jermaine L. Robinson, 22, was charged with driving with a suspended license and was released on bond.
At 12:45 a.m., following a traffic stop at 600 E. Lincoln Highway, Richard W. Niemi, 50, was charged with DUI, no insurance, driving with a suspended license, speeding, following too closely, and too fast for conditions. Niemi was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 10:41 a.m., following a traffic stop at 900 Lucinda Ave., Catherine Lahens, 36, was charged with driving with a suspended license and was released on bond.
At 6:38 p.m., officers ran a registration check on a vehicle traveling in front of them. The registration check showed the registered owner’s license was suspended. Following a traffic stop at 400 Pine St., Clarence E. Carter, 25, was charged with driving with a suspended license and was released on bond.
At 10:32 p.m., officers responded to Phillips 66, 1102 N. First St., for a wellbeing check. The complainant advised her husband worked at the gas station and had a subject inside that refused to leave. Following investigation, James L. Wilder, 40, was charged with two failure to appear warrants from Ogle County and was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 11:41 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling on 200 N. First St. with the driver not wearing his seat belt. Following a traffic stop at 200 Sycamore Road, Andre Cross-Boler, 23, was charged with driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and no seat belt. Cross-Boler was released on bond.
Sunday
Richard A. Zimmerman, 47, was arrested and charged with an original warrant of theft. Zimmerman was released on bond.
James J. Slobodnik, 22, turned himself in on an active warrant for battery. Slobodnik was released on bond.
