PaJAMuary to start this weekend
January 16, 2013
This weekend is really putting the “jam” in pajamas.
On Friday and Saturday, rock out in your PJs at two different music venues in northern Illinois.
Pillow Fight at the House
First up, the Cabin Fever Artist Showcase Superjam starts at 8 p.m. Friday at the House Café, 263 E. Lincoln Highway.
For this one special night, listen to artists from some of your favorite bands: Afternoon Moon, Thinner Teed, Lake Shore Vibe, Art of Ill Fusion, Easy Riders, Goose Doctor, Genome and Fibonacci – all brought to you by The House Café, J-Campbell Events and Goose Doctor.
Similar to the Cabin Fever Camp-In music festival, this party is a lock-in. Dress up–or down, if preferred–in your best sleepover gear and get discounted admission. BYOP so you don’t miss out on the epic pillow fight at midnight.
A snack will be provided. Tickets are $7 or $5 for those who sport their pajamas.
The “Jam” Continues in Chicago
Liquid Karma Productions is also having its PaJAMuary from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday at The Ace Bar, 1505 W. Fullerton Ave. in Chicago. Liquid Karma will play host to this PJ party with performances by Lake Shore Vibe, Legend Haz It, EGI. Ethereal Groove Inc. and DreamTap. The show is for those 21 and older and slumber wear is highly encouraged. There will be a best-dressed contest, so get your PJs on.
Tickets are $10 or $7 with pajamas.
Like what you hear? Come to Peoria
If those two shows were of interest, you may also like the Cabin Fever Camp-In, scheduled for Feb. 15 through Feb. 17. This three-day indoor music festival at the East Peoria Event Center, 4200 East Washington St. in Peoria, is open to all ages. It’s surely a fun way to stifle your impatience for your summer Bonnaroo camping trip.
There will be performances by Emancipator, Future Rock, Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, Brainchild, Half Naked as well as Lake Shore Vibe, Goose Doctor, Fibonacci and so many more.
