Wednesday
At 5:46 p.m. on Dec. 1, an officer was sent to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of disorderly conduct. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Wednesday, a person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.
At 12:13 a.m., an officer on patrol of Grant Tower North met with a person in regard to a report of cannabis. The meeting resulted in three people being referred to the Office of Community Standard and Student Conduct for possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 9:58 a.m., an officer was sent to the New Residence Hall Complex Community Safety Center in regard to a report of criminal trespass to state-supported property. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. The officer attempted to contact the person in question but the person fled from the scene. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 9:55 p.m., officers on patrol of Douglas Hall met with a person in regard to a follow-up investigation. During the course of the interaction the officers discovered cannabis in the possession of the person. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.
At 10:52 p.m., officers were sent to Neptune Hall North in regard to a report of a fight in progress. Officers arrived on the scene and initiated an investigation. A person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.
At 11 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the New Residence Hall Complex service drive. Pierre D. Moore, 28, of Oak Park, was the driver of the vehicle and had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Moore was arrested and sent to the NIU Police Department. He was then sent to the DeKalb County jail.
Thursday
At 12:15 a.m., an officer was sent to the New Residence Hall Complex East in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 1:06 a.m., an officer was sent to the New Residence Hall Complex East in regard to a report of residential burglary. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 1:25 a.m., an officer was sent to the New Residence Hall Complex East in regard to a report of residential burglary. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 10:06 p.m., officers were sent to Northern View apartments in regard to a report of domestic battery. Officers arrived on the scene and initiated an investigation. This case is open pending further investigation.
