Sunday
At 4:15 p.m., an officer was sent to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of unlawful use of a credit card. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. The case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
Monday
At 10:01 p.m. on Nov. 5, an officer was sent to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, the case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 12:32 p.m., an officer was sent to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. The case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 4:40 p.m., an officer was sent to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of battery. The officer arrived on scene and met with the people involved. The meeting resulted in Adrian B. Harwick, 18, of Chicago, being arrested for battery. Harwick was processed at the NIU Police Department and sent to the DeKalb County jail.
At 6:28 p.m., an officer was sent to the Campus Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 7:30 p.m., officers were sent to Lot K in regard to a report of cannabis. The officers met with people at the scene. The meeting resulted in Alexis M. Taylor, 18, of Elburn, being arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. Taylor was processed at the NIU Police Department and released on a $150 bond. The meeting also resulted in two people being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.
