Tuesday
At 7:31 p.m. on Oct. 17, an officer was sent to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Tuesday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 10:03 p.m. on Oct. 30, an officer was sent to Gabel Hall in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Tuesday, this case was administratively dismissed due to a lack of leads.
At 9:13 a.m., an officer on patrol at Wirtz Hall met with Damion D. Love, 21, of Chicago. Love had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on charge of theft. Love was arrested and sent to the NIU Police Department. He was then sent to the DeKalb County jail.
At 11:50 a.m., officers on patrol at Montgomery Hall met with Syed H. Hussain, 27, of DeKalb. Hussain had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Hussain was arrested and sent to the NIU Police Department, where he was released on a $275 bond.
At 1:09 p.m., an officer was sent to the Campus Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 3:16 p.m., officers on patrol at the 1000 block of Rushmore Road met with Dominique L. Roberts, 20, of DeKalb. Roberts had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Roberts was arrested and sent to the NIU Police Department. Roberts was released on a $375 bond.
At 8:40 p.m., an officer on patrol of Stevenson Towers South was approached by a person in regard to a report of theft. The officer took a report from the complainant. The case is open pending further investigation.
At 8:57 p.m., an officer was sent to Lincoln Hall in regard to a report of credit card fraud. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 10:10 p.m., an officer on patrol at Lincoln Hall met with a person in regard to cannabis. The meeting resulted in the person being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.
