Thursday
At 12:04 p.m., officers on patrol at the Holmes Student Center met Tiaeria D. Thurman, 20, of Richton Park. Thurman had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on the charge of retail theft. Thurman was arrested and sent to the DeKalb County jail.
At 1:30 p.m., officers on patrol at DuSable Hall met George J. Pranckus, 22, of Downers Grove. Pranckus had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. He was arrested and sent to the NIU Police Department. He was released on a $357 bond.
At 6:14 p.m., an officer on patrol at Wirtz Hall met with a person who was under 21 and intoxicated. The meeting resulted in the person being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
At 10:07 p.m., officers were sent to the Emergency Management and Planning Building in regard to a report of theft. Officers met with the complainant and took a report. The case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
Friday
At 8:03 p.m. on Oct. 12, an officer was sent to the Campus Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case will be administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, an officer was sent to Lincoln Hall in regard to a report of theft or mislaid property occurring in Wirtz Hall. A report was taken and this case is open to further investigation.
At 1:16 a.m., officers responded to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of domestic disturbance. The offender was identified and referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for battery.
At 7:55 a.m., an officer was sent to Grant Towers North in regard to a report of theft or mislaid property. A report was taken and this case is open to further investigation.
At 5:07 p.m., an officer was sent to the Campus Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. A report was taken and this case is open to further investigation.
