Monday

At 9:40 a.m., officers on patrol at Wirtz Hall met with Darrell H. Nelson, 24, of Chicago. Nelson had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Nelson was arrested and sent to the NIU Police Department, where he was released on a $200 bond.

At 11 a.m. on Oct. 18, an officer was sent to the Kishwaukee Community Hospital to meet with a complainant in regard to an allegation of possible criminal sexual assault. The assault was reported to have occurred at Lincoln Hall. The officer met with the complainant and initiated an investigation. On Monday, the case was closed at the request of the complainant.

At 3:29 p.m., an officer was sent to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 8:57 p.m. on Nov. 13, an officer was sent to Lincoln Hall in regard to a report of credit card fraud. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, the case was closed at the request of the complainant.
