House Cafe to host country music holiday gift drive
November 28, 2012
All you need is a brand new toy to be a part of this country holiday celebration.
The 43rd Annual Country Music Toy Drive will be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the House Cafe, 263 E. Lincoln Highway. The admission price? A brand new toy (need not be wrapped) to be donated to the Salvation Army for children in need this holiday season.
Several country, bluegrass and gospel artists will be performing, including Dave Guzzardo, John Thorn Matthew Littlejohn and Dale and Diana Reints. Various Christmas songs will be played, as well.
Gary Mullis, event coordinator and performer, said this is his 43rd year putting this show together, and it’s a show to bring the community together for the holidays.
“It’s a family type of show,” Mullis said. “I encourage people to come and help out for a good cause.”
