Veterans were treated to free dental work for Veterans Day this year at Collins Dental Group, 2025 Aberdeen Court in Sycamore.

The dental group offered free exams, cleanings and procedures to veterans and their immediate families on Nov. 10, according to a Thursday news release.

The practice saw nearly 100 patients on the day, and provided more than $23,000 in free work for the military veterans, along with treating the patients to free donuts and coffee throughout the day, according to the release.

“It’s our way of thanking them for their sacrifice and service to our nation,” said Dr. Dennis Collins in the release. “We feel it is important to be part of the social fabric of our community along with our patients.”

According to the release, this was the first year the practice had offered such a service to veterans. All dental group employees involved in the event volunteered their time.
