S.I.S.T.E.R.S. take home Powder Puff crown

Campus Activities Board hosted the annual Powder Puff football tournament Sunday, according to a Black Student Union (BSU) press release.

The championship game was played against the Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega (APO), who were the champions of the Powder Puff tournament for the past three years, according to BSU. The S.I.S.T.E.R.S. defeated teams like E.B.O.N.Y. Women by two touchdowns and Sigma Tau Delta by five touchdowns at the game. Last year, S.I.S.T.E.R.S. held the leading score in the game at halftime only to lose during the last play of the game to APO, according to the BSU.

The S.I.S.T.E.R.S. faced off against APO during the Powder Puff Tournament. Derrius Warren of B.R.O.T.H.E.R.S. coached the S.I.S.T.E.R.S. Trishana Henry played quaterback for S.I.S.T.E.R.S., and Heather Clark played wide receiver. Latasha Green, Sharnita Redley, Taneesha Plair played defense for the S.I.S.T.E.R.S. team. Joy Newman was defensive captain.

S.I.S.T.E.R.S. won 14-8 and are the Powder Puff champions for 2012, according to the BSU.
