Saturday
At 3:41 a.m., an officer on patrol of the 900 block of North Annie Glidden Road conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Danielle A. Jenca, 20, of Lombard, was arrested for a DUI. Jenca was processed at the NIU Police Department and released on an individual bond.
At 4:32 a.m., an officer on patrol of the New Residence Hall Complex West met with a person who was under 21 and intoxicated. The meeting resulted in the person being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
At 3:32 p.m., an officer was sent to Neptune Hall North in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. The case is administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 9:54 p.m., officers were sent to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of cannabis. Officers met with a person in the room in question. The meeting resulted in the person being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.
Sunday
At 12:38 p.m. on Oct. 23, an officer was sent to Lincoln Hall in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Sunday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 11:37 p.m., an officer was sent to the New Residence Hall Complex East in regard to a report of disorderly conduct. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Sunday, officers identified an offender, who was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.
At 1:37 a.m., an officer on patrol at Neptune Hall East met with people who were under 21 and intoxicated. The meeting resulted in the people being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
At 3:12 a.m., an officer at the 600 block of North Annie Glidden Road conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Najh, L. Lewis, 21, of Chicago, had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of shoplifting. Lewis was transported to the DeKalb County jail.
At 3:34 a.m., officers were sent to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of cannabis. The officers met with a person in the room in question. The meeting resulted in Nicholas A. Smith, 18, of Palatine, being arrested for possession of cannabis. Smith was processed at the NIU Police Department and released on $150 bond.
At 4 a.m., an officer was on patrol of Stevenson Towers North met with a person in regard to a report of criminal damage. The meeting resulted in the person being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for criminal damage to property.
At 5:15 a.m., an officer was sent to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of domestic battery. The officer arrived on the scene and investigated. Devon J. Etheridge, 20, of Chicago, was arrested for domestic battery. Etheridge was processed at the NIU Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County jail.
