DeKalb police arrested Anthony Phillips, 22, of DeKalb, on Saturday regarding a robbery occurring at approximately 5 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Greenbrier Road.
DeKalb Lt. Jason Leverton said there was a male and a female walking together and when the female went back toward her apartment, Phillips allegedly punched the victim in the face and stole his wallet. A second suspect kicked the victim while he was on the ground.
Police recognized Phillips on Saturday morning from the “Heartless” tattoo on his neck.
Leverton said he doesn’t think Phillips is a student at NIU. Phillips is being held in DeKalb County jail on a $75,000 bond and will next appear in court on Oct. 18.
