MAC teams earning national attention

While NIU football continues to streak, earning its eighth straight victory, it also continues to receive votes in the polls.
After receiving five votes in the Associated Press Top-25 poll last week, the Huskies received 12 votes this week. In the USA Today poll last week, the Huskies received 14 votes; this week, they earned 39 votes.
Toledo received the most votes of any team not to be nationally-ranked from the Associated Press Top-25 poll with 88. Toledo also garnered 59 votes from the USA Today poll.
After its win over nationally-ranked No. 15 Rutgers over the weekend, Kent State is also receiving more votes in the polls than the Huskies. In the Associated Press Top-25 poll, the Golden Flashes earned 33 votes; however, they only received 26 votes in the USA Today poll, which is 13 less than the votes that went to the Huskies.
With its loss to Miami (Ohio), Ohio dropped from being ranked No. 23-ranked in the Associated Press Top-25 poll. The Bobcats still received four votes and nine in the USA Today poll.
