NIU will celebrate safety in recognition of Crime Prevention Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, according to NIU Today.

During October, NIU will promote safety programs and offer safety tips to the university community, according to NIU Today.

On Monday, NIU will release its annual security report in accordance with the Clery Act. The Clery Act requires post-secondary institutions to publicly report information on criminal activity on or near campus.
