DeKalb residents may see savings on their power bills.

The city automatically enrolled many residents in a community program to change their energy provider, according to a City of DeKalb press release.

Most residents chose to adopt the new provider, with only 3 percent of those eligible opting out.

The new power began to flow in August, and the new prices first appeared on residents’ bills in September.
