As an alumnus and Huskie Fan, I thought I would check in to see what the Northern Star had to say on the Huskies win against Army on Saturday. I was surprised to see covering most of the front page was a Mac Miller concert review. Are you serious?

Army is a very disciplined and talented team. A win at West Point is tough and certainly worthy of more than a very brief mention on Page 1.

This is relevant on a few levels since the Northern Star has such an impactful reach, not just at NIU, but the surrounding community.  

Over the years (last year especially), I’ve heard coaches and players share their desire to play for a full stadium at home.

With the upcoming Kansas game this Saturday and conference games to following, it would be great if the Northern Star could support the Huskies in a more similar fashion to Big 10 schools and foster more student engagement and attendance.
