Reavis Hall in need of emergency repair
September 24, 2012
An emergency roof replacement for Reavis Hall may begin soon, said Lesley Rigg, associate dean for Research and Graduate Affairs, in an email to staff and faculty.
The project is expected to begin between noon and 3 p.m. Friday, Rigg said in the email. It is estimated the project will take 60 days. The emergency roof replacement may cause a lot of noise, vibration and odors, Rigg said in the email.
The project may be disruptive to work in Zulauf Hall and, to less extent, work in Watson, DuSable and Cole halls, Rigg said in the email. In the email, she said she is currently working with the English department to accommodate the most impacted spaces, which will be from the third floor of Reavis.
Rigg said in the email with good weather, this project may be completed in a shorter amount of time.
