Toni Keller’s garden at Neptune North was planted in the spring of 2012. The grounds crew at NIU work to keep the plants growing. The sunflower was Keller’s favorite flower and has become a symbol for her sunny personality, though recently the sunflowers dedicated to Keller at Prairie Park were destroyed. Keller, an NIU student, was killed in fall 2010.
