Women’s golf achieves excellence in classroom

Senior Kelsie Passolt, junior Allie Parthie, and freshmen Taylor Ellett and Casey LaBarbera of NIU women’s golf were all named to the National Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Scholar Team.
Parthie was the Huskies No. 1 golfer last season, posting top-10 finishes in seven out of the 11 tournaments she competed in. She maintains a 3.8 cumulative GPA in biology/pre-medicine.
Passolt graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, while posting a 3.9 GPA. She participated in all 11 tournaments this season averaging 83.9 over 24 rounds of golf.
Ellett, is an elementary education major, who carries a 3.8 GPA. Her season average was a 86.79 and her highest finish came at the SIUE Intercollegiate where she finished tied for eighth.
LaBarbera earned the highest GPA on the team, with a perfect 4.0, while majoring in biology/pre-medicine.
