At 10:47 a.m. on November 17, officers served a search warrant for a residence on 7366 N. Adeline Road in Leaf River. The officers located several items believed to be stolen state property after completing their search. On June 26, this case was cleared via adult arrest. The offender was arrested by another police department.

At 5:20 p.m. on April 14, officers responded to NIU Lot PS regarding a report of burglary to motor vehicle. Upon arrival, they met with the complainant, who advised that while her car was parked in NIU Lot PS, someone broke into it and stole several items from it. On June 26, this case was administratively closed pending new leads.

At 4:15 p.m. on May 4, an officer responded to the NIU police department for a report of theft. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant, who advised that she sold and shipped an item on eBay but never received payment. She found out that the buyer’s information was fraudulent. The victim was unable to provide the serial number for the item and therefore eBay was unable to provide assistance. On June 26, this case was closed.
