Last Wednesday, the Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade said players who play on the Olympic team should be paid for playing on Team USA.

What happened to the days of it being an honor to play on Team USA?

Players for years have strived to represent the USA in the Olympics and bring home the gold medal for this great country.

Mr. Wade, if you want to be paid to represent the United States of America, I, along with many fellow Americans, do not want you to participate on team USA. That $15 million you are making this season isn’t enough?

I would much rather see someone on the team who wants to play for his country, rather than a pay check.
