Ravinia Festival offers change from ‘antics’ of other festivals
April 24, 2012
Are you into outdoor summer concerts but not into the crazy antics of festivals like Summercamp, Lollapalooza and North Coast?
Well, you’re in luck. You can leave the glitter and face paint at home and travel to Ravinia Festival, 200 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, for some easy listening.
Ravinia Festival showcases numerous musical performances throughout the summer. During these concerts, visitors can enjoy the outdoor venue by purchasing a seat in the tranquil pavilion, kicking back at a table in Terrace Sitting or snuggling up in a blanket on the enormous Lawn.
Among the list of performers are musical legends such as Al Green, James Taylor, Tony Bennett and Anita Baker. However, if you’re into more contemporary music, here’s a list of the top three shows that I’m looking forward to attending at Ravinia Festival this summer.
