The 2012 Leadership Summit will be held at noon Thursday at Altgeld Hall Auditorium in celebration of Women’s History Month.

Female executives and entrepreneurs present at the event will share how they climbed beyond the glass ceiling to become influential leaders. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in partnership with Fifth Third Bank will host the event featuring pre-receptions from noon to 1 p.m. and presentations and a panel discussion from 1 to 3 p.m.

Teresa Tanner, EVP & chief human resources officer at Fifth Third Bancorp, will be the keynote speaker. Panelists will also include Stacey Barsema, president of the Barsema Foundation, Cherilyn Murer, president and CEO of Murer Consultants, Inc., Dr. La Vonne Neal, NIU college of education dean, Denise Schoenbachler, college of business dean, and Dr. Aquanette Simpson, NIU director of employment services and HR development. The event will also feature special guest Chelsea Hayes, national second vice president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
