The Rant: No worries, Hawks fans
February 22, 2012
Chicago hockey fans need not to worry about their beloved Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks did lose nine straight games, and at times, it looked like they might never win another game this season.
The Hawks have a great coach in Joel Quenneville and have one of the best centers in the game: Jonathan Toews.
Toews was injured for some of the loses, and so was Patrick Sharp who was having a Hart Memorial Trophy type of season, an award that is given to the MVP of the NHL.
Toews and Sharp are both healthy and are on their winning ways again. The ‘Hawks have won four-straight games and look like the same team that won the Stanley Cup in 2009-10 season.
Right now, their goaltending has been the biggest question. Corey Crawford hasn’t looked like the same goalie from last year. Thanks to Ray Emery, who was signed as pre-season tryout, he has helped fill the hole while Crawford has been searching his game.
The ‘Hawks will make the playoffs and if their goalie situation gets under control, they can make a deep run.
